foo_navigator
Description:
foo_navigator is a plug-in for foobar2000, that keeps a history of played tracks.
It provides the ability to navigate this history and display it in a seperate playlist or a panel.

Preferences:
Behaviour
This section controls the behaviour of the internal history.
Wait before adding track to history:
A track is not added to the history until a certain time or percentage of it has been played.
History size limit:
Sets the maximum number of tracks the history can hold.
Clear:
Clears the current content of the history
Remember history across sessions:
The history is remembered even after foobar2000 has been closed.
Always append new tracks:
New entries are always appended to the beginning of the list (instead of at the current playing position).
Move tracks to the top:
When a track is played a second time, it is moved to the top of the history, removing the earlier occurrence.
Let 'Forward'-command act as 'Next':
When the current position is at the latest track, the 'Forward'-command will act as 'Next'.
History Playlist
This section contains settings regarding the playlist that can be used to view the history.
Playlist name:
Determines the name of the playlist which will show the history when calling the View History command.
Automatically add tracks:
The tracks are added to the specified playlist as they are played, keeping the playlist updated.
Newer items at top:
If checked, new items are added to the top of the playlist, otherwise to the bottom.
Toolbar
This section contains settings regarding the toolbar buttons dropdown menu (only available for Columns UI).
Maximum dropdown size:
Sets the maximum number of items displayed in the toolbar dropdown.
Title formatting:
Specifies the titleformatting string for the items displayed in the toolbar dropdown. (see below)
Panel Settings:
Panel
This section controls the behaviour of the history panel.
Title formatting:
Specifies the titleformatting string for the items displayed in the panel. (see below)
Middle click action
The action that is executed when a track is clicked with the middle mouse button.
Edge style:
Sets the panel's edge style.
Colors and Font
This section controls the visual appearance of tracks in the panel.
Normal:
The colors for history items.
Selected:
The colors for selected history items.
Font:
This is the font used in the history panel.
Use global UI settings:
If checked, the panel will use the colors and fonts of the UI rather than the settings specified in this dialog.
Edit:
Opens the foobar2000 preferences to let you choose the desired settings.
Titleformatting:
The following extra variables can be used in the titleformatting strings:
- %_history_number%: Absolute index of the entry in the history
- %_history_position%: The entry's position relative to the currently playing track
(returns negative numbers for older, positive numbers for newer entries and zero for the currently playing track)
- %_history_timestamp%: Date and time when the entry was added to the history in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)
- %_history_date%: Local date when the entry was added
- %_history_time%: Local time when the entry was added
- %_history_day_of_week%: Day of week from 1 (Sunday) to 7 (Saturday)
(can be used with $select to display the days' names)
- %_history_days_ago%: Number of days since the entry was added
- %_history_hours_ago%: Number of full hours since the entry was added
Usage:
Main menu commands:
All commands can be found in the Playback menu.
Back and Forward are used to navigate through the history of played tracks.
View History shows the content of the history in the playlist specified in the preferences. (see above).
Panel:
The History panel can be found in the Panels (Columns UI) og Utility (Default UI) category.
Toolbar buttons
To add the history buttons in Columns UI, press Add in the Buttons options dialog, and select Buttons from the Command group list.
